Our mobile app MyTailoredTalks, developed in partnership with NHS Lothian and Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland has recently been piloted within NHS Lothian.

Healthcare professionals across the country are struggling with the best ways to treat and manage Long Covid. Long Covid is a new illness which is caused by catching Covid-19, and results in prolonged Covid-19 symptoms, such as breathlessness, fatigue, and brain fog. It is estimated that around 1.8 million people living within the UK are currently experiencing symptoms of Long Covid.

Here at Pogo Studio, our mobile app MyTailoredTalks, developed in partnership with NHS Lothian and Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland has recently been piloted within NHS Lothian. We have spent many hours working alongside key healthcare professionals to enable MyTailoredTalks to be of assistance to those suffering from Long Covid. Through the app, doctors now have the capability to refer patients directly to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland’s Long Covid resources and services, providing patients with the key information they require for their recovery and management.

When speaking to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, Greig Brown, 44, from Armadale, West Lothian, explained he contracted Covid-19 in January 2021, and has experienced first-hand, the devastating impacts of Long Covid. Having once been very active, Greig now struggles with tasks as simple as walking up and down the stairs. Greig is hopeful that the likes of MyTailoredTalks will make a real difference to the lives of Long Covid sufferers and stop patients falling through the cracks, as he is all too familiar with.

With the platform being described as “a breakthrough in integrated care”, we are hugely excited about the future of MyTailoredTalks, especially with how it is going to improve the life of Long Covid sufferers. Not only will the platform provide those with long covid the opportunity to better manage their condition, but it will also help reduce the pressures being felt by NHS services.
